Thom Collegiate is making history as the first school in Saskatchewan to launch a high school judo program! Shinmura Judo is giving students a chance to learn a new sport, challenge themselves, and represent their school in an exciting way.

 

Judo isn’t just about throws and techniques — it’s about building confidence, respect, and teamwork. Whether you’re looking for a fun extra-curricular activity, a way to stay active, or a new challenge, judo is the perfect fit.

How to Join

Getting started is easy!

1. Sign Up: Visit Room 214 and talk to Ms. Bergey (aka Sensei Kim) to register.

2. Attend Practice: Sessions are held Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in the mini-gym (mat room) until November. No prior experience needed.

3. Represent Thom: Participate in school events and competitions, and show your school spirit on the mat!
