Introduction to Olympic Weightlifting

About the Course

Olympic Weightlifting ages 10+ If you want to lift for fun, get stronger, learn proper technique, make new friends or learn to compete - this course is for you! This program will cover basic strength training exercises necessary to be successful in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. We will focus on squats, deadlifts, push press, snatch, cleans, and jerks - along with mobility work.

Youths aged 10-13 who have successfully completed this intro program, will be able to practice in the YMCA conditioning area.

After completing the intro course, participants are encouraged to JOIN the Judokats WL Club for more opportunities to make gains!
